Blackwater Emergency Response Training is ready to help workplaces and employees across the North West get the safety skills they need.
Owner and trainer Dean Browne offers a range of training, including first aid, fire, rescue, safety and heavy plant operation.
Advanced first aid is on offer, as well as resuscitation and bleeding control, and Mr Browne encourages everyone to consider having a first aid qualification.
“First aid is something that everyone should be capable of doing. It’s a skill that can be used everywhere – at home, at work or out in the public,” he said.
“The more first aid trained people we have, the safer our community is.”
Blackwater Emergency Response Training also offers training for fire extinguisher use and fire wardens.
“Fires are incredibly dangerous and its important to ensures everyone’s safety,” Mr Browne said.
“Knowing how to handle a fire extinguisher is an important skill in keeping people safe.”
“It’s also important to be aware of fire hazards.”
Other training Mr Browne is able to offer includes confined spaces, low voltage rescue, working at heights and plant operation including excavators, skid steers and loaders.
The training courses span a range of industries and can be conducted as public or private courses.
Mr Browne also welcomes employers and companies to contact him about their training needs and conducting training on-site.
While this year marks the launch of the Narrabri-based business, Mr Browne has been training since 2016.
In addition to his training business, Mr Browne is also involved in Fire and Rescue and has been exposed to the service’s extensive training regime.
Mr Browne offers professional and informative training in a fun and relaxed environment.
As his training business continues to develop, he hopes to add more training capabilities to the offering.
Mr Browne also hopes to offer online training, particularly for first aid.
First aid supplies and kits, automated external defibrillators, bleeding control and snake bite kits are also available to purchase through Blackwater Emergency Response Training.
