A 33-year-old man was charged with taking part in a police pursuit and providing a false statement.
The man was arrested at 11.45am on Friday, April 14 and charged with police pursuit not stop and making a false statement.
Police allege a vehicle was being driven in an unsafe manner near the Narrabri CBD at 12.05am on April 9.
The vehicle was observed leaving a local premises and accelerated.
Police attempted to stop the vehicle and a pursuit was initiated.
The pursuit was terminated due to safety concerns.
The vehicle later crashed in Segol Street and the driver fled the scene.
Following the incident, the man attended Narrabri Police Station to report a stolen vehicle.
Police investigated the matter and obtained CCTV footage which they allege depicts the man driving the vehicle.
