‘Juror misconduct’ has been very much in the news in recent times after it was found a Canberra juror had accessed some research material which had not been presented in evidence. The Guardian newspaper recalls a case of jury misconduct in Britain when several jurors used a ouija board to contact the victim of a murder! A new trial was ordered.
