A growing ageing population in China is a looming crisis for the large Asian nation. BBC News reported that 300 million people are set to leave the workforce during the next decade. China has been known for family responsibility in caring for ageing parents. However, the one-child policy introduced in 1979 and discontinued in 2015 is expected to impact China’s elderly population.
