Whiddon Robert Young resident, Myra Smith celebrated her 98th birthday on Wednesday, April 17.

A lovely morning tea was organised by Janice Smith – Myra’s daughter-in-law – to celebrate the occasion.

Special guests who travelled for the occasion were Myra’s daughter from Brisbane, Sue Eurell, niece and Catholic Nun Sister Helen Baguley from Newcastle and her nephew Ron Bennett and his wife Di from Bribie Island.

Myra’s church friends, her family and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren enjoyed a special morning tea, with a beautiful cake made by Janice Smith.

After morning tea Myra attended a communion mass and then continued to celebrate her birthday.

Myra, received so many birthday wishes, flowers and gifts. She thanked everyone for their wishes and gifts.

Whiddon had another cake for her to cut that evening.
