A blockbuster night of touch footy is scheduled for Monday when Narrabri Touch hosts the 11th and final round of its 2024 season mixed competition ungraded campaign.

Headlining it is a top-of-the-table contest between the two undefeated teams who finally get a chance to play against one another after running first and second almost all season.

Just Gammin are currently ranked first with 30 points following 10 wins from as many rounds while Hammertime are second with 29 points after earning nine wins and a draw so far.

It has worked out perfectly that they play against one another in the final week as we now get an early finals match preview with first place on the line.

The 12 teams across the competition will have all met one another once each after Monday night’s matches and they will then be split into three grades of four. The top four will be the A-grade teams, the middle four will be the B-grade teams and the bottom four will be the C-grade teams.

The round 10 games at Hogan Oval and Leitch Oval on Monday night saw the two top-ranked teams remain undefeated.

Just Gammin won by forfeit against Touch ‘n’ Go and Hammertime outscored Kerrigans 8-2.

The third-placed side Sprayerbarn Spinouts were also victorious as they took down the fifth-placed Win Or Booze 8-2, while fourth-placed Tradies and Ladies drew 2-all with the sixth-placed Banksia Babes and Blokes.

The only ladder movement in round 10 occurred in the bottom half of the table, starting with the Wilga Pelicans climbing from eighth up into seventh after beating One Hit Wonders 8-5.

They overtook the JWG Hounddogs who dropped to eighth, and the result also saw One Hit Wonders climb from ninth to 10th as they jumped Kerrigans on for and against difference.

Touch ‘n’ Go and RSL Guys and Gals are still ranked 11th and 12th.
