Steady rainfall throughout Saturday couldn’t dampen the spirits of many who turned out to support the Narrabri Show.

Minor adjustments were made to the show programme as a result of the weekend’s wet weather, however, a quality line-up of entertainment, activities and amusements was still on offer to show-goers.

Friday of the show was basked in sunshine leading up to the opening night festivities, including the rodeo, presentation of life memberships and the announcement of winners in the Young Woman competition.

Claudia Williams was announced as the Senior Young Woman of the Year while Caitlin Evans was named as the Junior Young Woman of the Year.

Umbrellas and gumboots were the fashion choice of the day on Saturday, however, traditional show activities including the much-loved baby competition, cattle events, ute muster and fireworks display proceeded as planned.

Show organisers also welcomed new additions to the programme, including a best mullet competition coordinated by the Rotaract Club of Narrabri in support of mental health.

Organisers have thanked the community for its continued support of the show.

The coordination of the show is a mammoth undertaking and is thanks to the organisation’s many volunteers who work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the smooth running of the significant event.
