Support for Narrabri High School students William Faris, Kaitlin Barnes and Maeve Harris continues to gain momentum in their fundraising quest to attend the London International Youth Science Forum in July.
Many community groups have supported the students with donations.
Rotaract dedicated its regular quiz night to the cause on Friday night and photographs from the evening were published in Thursday’s Courier.
The trio have been manning the gate for the Blue Boars and also helped at the Rotary Club of Narrabri book sale. The students also recently took part in a workshop with the Narrabri Lions Auxiliary to assemble toiletry bags.
The bags are provided to the Narrabri Hospital and contain essential items to assist emergency patients.
The Lions Auxiliary bags are in addition to the ‘Cuddle Buddies’ given to children in trauma situations at the Narrabri Hospital, including ED, X-ray and pathology.
These bears are also given to the Crisis Centre, police and paramedics.
