Seven candidates are contesting three vacant positions on the North West Local Land Services board.

The seven candidates come from across the North West region and are Mike Lomax – Werris Creek, Rebecca Collins – Bangheet, Vera Reardon – Warialda, Michael Hart – Bendemeer, Christopher Chaplain – Burren Junction, Charlotte Hoddle – Gunnedah and Jocelyn Cockbain – Tintinhull.

“Local board members provide strategic direction for our local programs, so strong landholder representation is crucial to ensure that North West Local Land Services delivers what is most needed by our local communities over the next four years,” Acting North West Local Land Services general manager Matthew Davidson said.

Local board members work closely with their communities to help identify and shape the wide range of services offered by the Local Land Services team.

Board elections are being conducted across NSW.

The successful new board members are expected to be announced by July.
