There were small rivulets flowing in the backyard of the hotel and people had to walk through and around over-flowing gutters but that did not deter the crowd attending the launch of Sam Snape’s new single at Boggabri’s Commercial Hotel on Friday night.

“So very happy all round,” Sam said.

“Everything went to plan and ran on time.

“The support was fantastic, I had a bit of a head count throughout the night and there was about 250 there even with all the rain,” he said.

“It was a bit wet under foot.

“It was heavy rain but with the great shelter we had I don’t think anyone got too wet”

Food and drink was in abundance as was the amazing talent in support of Sam, Amarni Grace, Leon Cunningham and Daniel Wicks, didn’t leave the attendees disappointed.

Very early in the night, one lady said: “I wasn’t sure if I should come but it has been amazing and it’s only just started.”

The crowd erupted when Sam performed his latest single, Old Dog Old Ute Old Hat.

To top off a great launch, the Country Music Association of Australia has recognised his new song and the Australian Music Radio Airplay Project, listing Sam’s new song at number eight.

MC for the evening was Ben Coleman and Cameron Kerr conducted the auction for the Westpac Helicopter raising an amazing $7585 and an extra $210 thrown in the loose change bucket throughout the night.
