Garden Club members held their April meeting in the courtyard at The Exchange Narrabri.
Georgie Gourley from The Exchange spoke about the establishment of the centre in 2022 in the beautifully restored old cordial factory and ice works buildings.
They have meeting rooms available for conferences and workshops, as well as smaller private casual or permanent office spaces.
We were lucky enough to be given a guided tour.
It’s amazing how such a modern concept has been very cleverly integrated into the lovely old heritage building.
Kath Vinson was the winner of our monthly bloom competition, with Joan Burrell and Lyn Vaughan taking out second and third. Well done ladies.
Plans for our trip to the Bathurst Garden Festival on October 25-27 are being finalised.
If you are still considering joining us, please contact Jenni Hayne 0429 921 745 so numbers can be finalised.
In order to secure our accommodation, we would appreciate it if you could pay a non-refundable deposit at our June meeting.
This trip is not limited to Garden Club members, so if you think you’d like a weekend getaway, please contact Jenni.
A similar trip some years ago proved a great success.
The history of the Bathurst area, as well as the beautiful old gardens was amazing.
We are pleased to be again hosting the New South Wales Floral Art Association for a weekend of competitions and workshops on August 2-3.
The event will be held at the Bowling Club and will be open to the public for viewing. We are always delighted to welcome these incredibly talented floral artists to Narrabri.
