Delegates to the recent Queensland Country Press annual conference in Mooloolaba, including four from The Courier, heard one of the speakers present on the current state of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its future applications. “The money being invested in AI by huge corporations is mind-boggling,” he said. He added ‘a researcher received a salary bonus of US$157 million for his contributions. The researcher challenged his bonus as being not enough.’
