Narrabri businesses are embracing the nation’s famous green and gold signature colours in support of local Olympians Shannan Davey and Laura Gourley.
Power Beyond Hydraulics, in the industrial estate, is one of the businesses getting behind the two local athletes.
Staff said it was an amazing achievement for Narrabri to have two Olympians and encouraged the whole town to get behind Shannan and Laura.
Narrabri Shire Council is encouraging the community to also rally behind the cause and has a limited number of activation kits on offer to support displays in businesses.
In addition to the business activation program, several buildings in Maitland Street will be lit up in green and gold from July 24 in honour of Shannan and Laura.
Residents and visitors will also be able to sign a ‘community congratulations card’ for each local athlete, located at the Narrabri Region Visitor Information Centre and shire
libraries.
