Finalists of the Rotary Club of Narrabri’s annual Pride of Workmanship Award were celebrated at Saturday night’s changeover dinner.
C&D Electronics technician and customer support officer Jay Baquiran was named as this year’s winner. Mr Baquiran has been praised for providing excellent customer service.
“He has personally built meaningful connections with each customer he comes into contact with,” his nomination read.
“Jay has amazing product knowledge in all areas around computers, phones, printers and all electronics.
“Jay is always smiling and has a positive attitude which encourages customers to return to the store.
“Jay always goes above and beyond delivering personalised customer experiences that leave a lasting impression on everyone.”
Finalists included Eden Rozendaal, KR Property, Kristy Fuller, Nurruby Children’s Services, and Lucinda Richards, University of Sydney Plant Breeding Institute.

Rotarians and guests applauded the finalists on their contributions to their workplaces.
Outgoing president Karen Kirkby and vocation director Tricia Hadley presented the winner’s representative and the finalists with their accolades. Mrs Hadley, who sat on the independent judging panel, said picking a winner was difficult.
“They were all very deserving,” Mrs Hadley said.
“The quality of the nominations this year was exceptional.”
Mr Baquiran was unable to attend the dinner, however, Tash Mackenzie represented the business at the celebration.
The Rotary Club of Narrabri has encouraged locals to begin thinking about candidates for 2025.
