Narrabri Schools Ministry Inc is pleased to invite everyone to its next fundraising event “Sounds of the South Pacific” on Saturday, September 28 at Narrabri High School hall.
A team of Samoan and Tongan youth, under the leadership of Dr Vailele Afoa and Crossroads 2421 Seventh-Day Adventist Church from Melbourne, will be presenting items of song and dance from South Pacific Islands. A local group of Aboriginal dancers from Narrabri High School will also present items.
Doors will open at 5.30pm, where a spread of cakes, slices, tarts and dessert cups will be ready, along with varieties of teas, coffees, cordial, water. These will be on sale for $5 per plate and drink of your choice.
A feature beverage, Polynesian watermelon drink, “Vaimeleni”, will be available for $4 per cup. So bring your cash and enjoy the sounds and tastes of the South Pacific in

Narrabri Schools Ministry Inc has been offering Christian Schools Workers to Narrabri High School since 2004. Last year, 19 years later, the organisation stepped out in faith and offered another worker position for primary schools.
Jane Nelson-Hauer is now in her second year at Narrabri West and is offering her experience and abilities in many different ways.
This year the high school position became vacant. Russell James, from Coonabarabran applied for the position and started in the second term. He has been getting to know students and staff quickly.
Russ has loads of experience in communication and business, he has owned his own business for many years, plus has various sporting interests to share with students. Russ runs the lunchtime group “Chips & Chat” each Wednesday where he spends time with students who choose to attend.
During this time Russ is encouraging ways to build confidence in communicating with people, and ways of being a valued member of the school and community.
Narrabri Schools Ministry Inc has been able to support local schools over these past 20 years due to prayer and financial commitment of local churches and community members. For this ministry to continue into the future the organisation depends on its support network to continue and grow.

Everyone will have opportunities throughout the evening to partner with Narrabri Schools Ministry Inc by making donations in the donation box or take the opportunity to pledge regular giving.
Narrabri Schools Ministry Inc is forever grateful for the generosity of locals and others who are now living away from Narrabri and continue to support the ministry in schools.
