‘Grand Horizons’ a solo photography exhibition by Robert Dunn was unveiled at the Wee Waa Community Arts and Cultural Centre recently.
Attendees enjoyed a lovely evening behind the yellow door, viewing the photographs in the gallery and chatting with Mr Dunn as they explored his incredible images captured locally and Australia wide.
“I have always had a passion for photography, from my school years with SLR film cameras to the first digital camera that I purchased as a hobby back in the late 90s,” said photographer Robert Dunn in a statement.
“The passion then lay dormant whilst life took over, but in 2012, I purchased my first DSLR camera for an overseas trip and the drive to capture the world around me was reignited.
“After completing studies in 2016, the equipment and time spent with it significantly multiplied.
“Realising this was a little more than just a passion, I started up Abs-Al-oot Horizons Photography (so named
after our daughters) and the rest is history.
“Around the gallery you will see a number of previously unpublished images, which tell a story of travels and experiences.
“Each image is designed to invoke emotion for the viewer, hoping to spark a memory or an inspirational vision.
“I am truly humbled that you have taken time out of your own life to visit this exhibition and I hope in viewing, you share at least a little of the joy I have in capturing these images and converting them to tangible pieces of art displayed around the gallery.”
