Wee Waa Bowling Club held their 2023/24 season awards presentation event at the club on Sunday.
Sixteen bowlers turned up for a fun game of bowls, which was followed by a barbecue lunch and presentation to winners and runners-up for the bowls championships held across the past year.
Unfortunately, not all of the award recipients were present at the event, but an enjoyable day was had by all who could attend.
A big shout out to Bruce Cowan who took on the bowls coordinator’s job this year. He has done a tremendous job getting through our bowls events and also running a triples carnival a couple of weeks ago.
Below is a list of our winners and runners-up for the 2023/24 campaign championships:
A-grade singles: winner – Ty Baker, runner-up – Steve Berger.
A-grade pairs: winners – Brett Pillar and Paul Andreassen, runners-up – Kevin Baker and Dustyn Allen.
A-grade triples: winners – Todd Cowan, Bruce Cowan and Ty Baker, runners-up – Brett Pillar, Steve Berger and Chris Crutcher.
Club fours: winners – Brock Allen, Brett Pillar, Jay Hall and Steve Berger, runners-up – Graham Amos, Clancy Hamilon, Hunter Doring and Paul Andreassen.
B-grade triples: winners – Dot and Kay Dewson and Brock Allen, runners-up – Melissa, Kyne and Dustyn Allen.
B-grade pairs: winners – Melissa and Dustyn Allen, runners-up – Renee and Hunter Doring.
B-grade singles: winner – Dustyn Allen, runners-up – Kyne Allen.
C-grade singles: winner – Brock Allen, runners-up – Gary Nolan.
Over-60s singles: winner – Steve Berger, runner-up – Clancy Hamilton.
Over-60s pairs: winners Dot and Kay Dewson, runners-up – Chris Crutcher and Steve Berger.
The club championships for the 2024/25 season close this Sunday, so if you have not got your teams entered yet, do it ASAP or you will miss out.
