Nosh has set its sights on a bigger festival in 2025 with an expanded committee overseeing what is one of the region’s premier events.
Including more interactive elements to the Saturday festivities as well as attracting a household name are among the top priorities for next year.
The festival component will be held on Saturday, August 30 with the long lunch on Sunday, August 31.
President Angie Jones and the Nosh committee are excited about the growth and evolution of the event and what it can offer to the region.
“Nosh is one of Narrabri’s flagship events,” Angie said.
“The previous committee has laid excellent groundwork and the new location is great.
“We are going to build on what is already a fantastic event.”
Most of the existing committee has rejoined, with eight new faces now part of the Nosh journey.
Among the additions the committee is looking at for 2025 are wine and cheese tasting, a cocktail making class and a celebrity chef.
While the Saturday festivities will have a revamp, the much-loved long lunch component on the Sunday will remain in a similar format.
The enthusiastic committee is also planning a smaller event in the year between Nosh.
Hotel Nosh, a collaboration between the committee and the Tourist Hotel, will be held on Friday, October 18.
The event is being promoted as a cocktail party with a few surprises.
“We want to keep Nosh in people’s minds ahead of next year,” Angie said.
“It’s something that will be fun and interesting.”
As to what else is in store for Nosh next year, Angie says it is still early days. “Watch this space,” she said.
