Narrabri Shire shoppers will have the chance to win the grand prize of $5000 to spend locally after The Courier, Wee Waa News and North West Magazine’s ‘Sleigh your Christmas Shopping Locally’ Christmas promotion officially started on Thursday.
This year’s initiative features 18 outlets from Narrabri, Boggabri and Wee Waa.
In addition to the first prize of $5000 to spend at participating businesses, second prize is $1000 and third prize is $500.
A weekly prize of a $50 voucher is also on offer.
All prizes will be in the form of shopping vouchers to be spent at any of the participating stores.
The Courier’s general manager/editor Dylan Smith encouraged the community to get behind local businesses which are the backbone of the shire economy.
“For all your Christmas shopping needs, everything you could possibly want is here in Narrabri Shire,” he said.
“Narrabri Shire is fortunate to have such a diverse range of businesses offering quality products and services.
“The Courier encourages people to look to our local businesses when it comes to all your shopping needs. Supporting our shire businesses should happen all year, not just at Christmas.”
