WTC Golf Day hosting eight NRL legends

Excitement is growing for the WTC Charity Golf Day, with eight NRL legends set to join the action on Saturday, October 26.

Alongside the golf event, the Narrabri RSL will host ‘Battle Scars and Footy Stars’ on Friday, October 25. This event offers the public a chance to spend the evening with the players, where guests can hear classic footy stories, ask questions, take photos, and mingle with the NRL stars.

The star-studded lineup features several former NRL premiership winners, State of Origin champions, and international representatives, including Wade Graham, Josh Morris, Terry Lamb, Josh Reynolds, Willie Mason, Justin Horo, Fletcher Sharpe, and Brodie Jones.

WTC managing director, Will Childs, expressed his excitement about the lineup, “We’ve doubled the number of NRL celebrities for this year’s charity golf day and wanted to extend the experience to the wider community before the players hit the golf course on Saturday.

“Having eight well-known NRL players in town at the same time is rare, and we’re thrilled they’ll be participating in two events while they’re here.”

On Saturday, the WTC Charity Golf Day will take place with a full roster of teams teeing off. For those not participating in the golf, there will be plenty of activities, including a jumping castle for the kids behind the clubhouse and live DJs playing throughout the day. After the golf wraps up, an auction and a nearest the pin challenge will be held to keep the excitement going.

“We invite all members of the community to come along for a great family day out at the Golfie and enjoy the day from the comfort of the clubhouse.

“This year, we’re introducing a Nearest to the Pin Challenge at the Dixie Holdings Party Hole (18th) in the evening, with DJs setting the vibe. Anyone can join in for $50, giving them a shot at winning the nearest to the pin prize. I’m really excited about this one—the team is creating a LIV Golf-style atmosphere, with 20 per cent of the total buy-ins going to the prize pool. The more people who sign up, the bigger the prize.”
