The Rotary Club of Narrabri welcomed district governor Bruce George to its dinner meeting at the Narrabri RSL,

Mr George, of Inverell, oversees district 9660 which takes in a large portion of western and northern NSW.

Mr George addressed the club about the importance of showcasing its achievements and activities to the community, something Mr George and local members acknowledged the Narrabri club does very well.

The club is proactive with its social media promotion, which has been overseen by Rotarian and now club president Jocellin Jansson for many years.

Members also acknowledged its strong relationship with The Courier across many decades, particularly mentioning former co-proprietors Ian and Wanda Dunnet for their continued support as well as the work by The Courier’s editor, Rotarian and past club president Dylan Smith in promoting the club’s achievements.

Narrabri will hold a special place in Mr George’s time at the helm of the district, with the town set to host the annual district conference in 2025.
