Two shared pathway projects complete

Narrabri Shire Council has announced the successful completion of two shared path projects within the shire.

In an update, council said the projects will enhance safety and connectivity for residents and visitors. The $1,231,830 project was funded by the NSW government’s Safer Community Connection program.

In Narrabri, the new shared path along Selina Street and Guest Street provides safe pedestrian and cyclist access, including a critical connection under the railway overpass and to Narrabri High School. Meanwhile in Boggabri, the shared path offers safer connectivity between Boggabri Hospital, local schools, and residential areas.

Narrabri Shire mayor Darrell Tiemens, praised the project’s completion, highlighting its impact on the community.

“These shared paths are already being heavily used, making a difference by providing safe and accessible routes for pedestrians and cyclists,” Cr Tiemens said.
