The 2025 Narrabri Show

The Show won’t be the same this year
Though it’s still close to my heart
With age and sickness taking hold
I might not be taking part.

Though I’ll do my best to visit
Even if just for a chat
And those who know me know quite well
That I’m pretty good at that.

There’s always so much going on
There’s so much to see and do
A lot of people working hard
And they do it all for you.

There’s something there for everyone
From the toddlers to the old
With ring events and barbecues
And fireworks to behold.

There’ll be mail boxes and scarecrow
Animal nursery and Lego
Photography and poultry too
And farm produce as you go.
There’ll be handicraft and cooking
There’ll be schoolwork on display
And decorated cakes as well
And horticulture display.

There’s lots of places for a snack
Or depending how you feel
You might drop into the kitchen
And enjoy a tasty meal.

And we can’t forget the coffee
I don’t know where I would be
The day just doesn’t start off right
Without my morning coffee.

A lot of Shows have come and gone
For your info I might add
One hundred and fifty so far
So we’re not doing too bad.

So many work behind the scenes
To see you get a great Show
So put some time aside this year
And just make sure that you go.
