Hosted in the heart of Gunnedah, Artful Giving is a one-day cultural event that blends regional art with social impact.
Guests will be welcomed to experience a gallery walk through three unique spaces followed by an intimate long table lunch held at the rear of the Oxley Chambers @Gunnedah Grounds in August.
The event is aiming to raise $10,000 or more for Gunnedah Family Support while sparking healthy conversations around mental health along with domestic and family violence in the region.
These funds will directly support initiatives that provide housing, counselling, and essential services for women, children and families impacted by domestic and family violence.
Ingrid Kaineder is the organiser behind the event. Domestic violence is not only an issue she advocates against but is also something that has affected her directly.
“As someone who has not only worked in event organisation but is also a twice survivor of domestic violence, this initiative is my way of showing how pain can be transformed into purpose,” she said.
“Through connection, community, and creativity, I have found healing, and I believe others can too.
“This event is a platform to shine light on stories that are often hidden and a way to raise urgent funds for women, children and families who need a safe path to new beginnings.”
The long lunch will include canapes on arrival, a two-course seated menu catered by Relish Catering paired with drinks served by Miss Lulu’s Travelling Bar, and live music performed by Kirsty Larkin and Steve Macauley.
Guests will listen to esteemed speaker Sarah Williams, founder of What Were You Wearing? Australia.
Artful Giving is a ticketed event for 50 guests however the gallery walk will be open to the general public for a small fee.
All artwork is available for purchase with a percentage of the sales on the day also donated back to Gunnedah Family Support.
The long table lunch and gallery walk is $250 per ticket, all inclusive. The gallery walk is $15 per ticket.
