Narrabri’s signature food and drink festival is back this weekend with Nosh Narrabri 2025 set to delight locals and visitors from Friday to Sunday.

The packed program will celebrate regional produce, community spirit, and hands-on food experiences for all ages.

The festival launches on Friday night with an exclusive Q&A session with celebrity chef Gary Mehigan at The Tourist Hotel.

On Saturday, August 30, the Narrabri Creek parklands becomes the festival hub with more than 39 food and drink vendors, cooking demonstrations, competitions, and live entertainment. Entry is just $2.

For the first time, the festival precinct will be fully licensed. This means visitors can purchase alcohol directly from local vendors and enjoy it while walking throughout the festival grounds. With this change this year, under 18s must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Nosh Narrabri president Angie Jones encouraged the community to see what the festival has on offer on Saturday.

“Nosh 2025 is all about new experiences and bringing even more life to our much-loved event,” she said.

“With the family-friendly kids’ zone, celebrity cooking, and interactive workshops, we’re celebrating regional produce in fun, creative ways. We can’t wait to welcome visitors this weekend.”

Key highlights on Saturday include Gary Mehigan’s live cooking demonstration, the high-energy All Stars BBQ Cook-Off and a cocktail-making competition with the winning drink served at the Tourist Hotel.

A new addition to Nosh this year are five ticketed workshops including cupcake decorating, cocktail pairing, beer tasting, and a vertical wine tasting experience.

A dedicated Nosh Kids Zone runs on Saturday, with free activities included in entry. Kids can enjoy Bubble Muffin cooking workshops, mini grain milling, a jumping castle, tattoos with Noshy the mascot, and MLA’s VR paddock-to-plate experience.
