Thursday, September 11 is officially RUOK?Day – but every day should be RUOK?Day – a time to check in with people. Nine in 10 Australians report feeling grateful, supported and cared for when someone genuinely asks them if they’re OK. The day originated when in 2009, after losing his father to suicide, Gavin Larkin founded RUOK?Day. His vision was “a conversation could change a life.” Since then, the movement has grown nationally, reminding us all to keep checking in.
