The Boggabri Sacred Heart School ‘Kaleidoscope Gala Ball’ was a sold out, dazzling success, bringing together families, friends, and the wider communities of Gunnedah and Boggabri for an unforgettable evening of celebration, generosity, and community spirit.

Held in the spirit of colour and joy, the Kaleidoscope Ball was more than just a social occasion, it was a powerful display of what can be achieved when a community comes together with a shared purpose. Funds raised on the night will go towards the construction of a brand-new Ninja-style playground, giving Sacred Heart students a modern, fun, and active space to enjoy for years to come.

Hundreds of metres of sheer white fabric, interspersed with thousands of fairy lights transformed the showground shed into an alluring and glamorous setting for the ball. As a finishing touch, the 98 attendees decorated their tables in their chosen colour themes.

The creativity and flair on display added so much vibrancy to the event. After much admiration and fun competition, the winning table was awarded to the bright and cheerful Sunshine Citrus table, also known as “The Golden Girls.”

President of the Parents Teacher and Friends Committee, Aiden Rodstrom, thanked his incredible team whose vision, dedication, and countless hours of planning and preparation brought the Gala Ball to life.

“Their hard work ensured a seamless and memorable celebration,” Mr Rodstrom said.

The principal of Sacred Heart, Claire Ryan said, “the school also extends its deep gratitude to the many local businesses who generously donated items for the auction and lucky door prizes. The outstanding level of support from the Boggabri and wider business communities played a vital role in the success of the night and is a true reflection of the spirit of giving and support that makes our town so unique.”

After guests enjoyed a delicious meal served delivered to the tables by volunteers from the Boggabri Swimming Club, it was down to the serious side of the night.

The auction, raffle and the display of impressive dance moves to the music of Sam Snape ensured the Kaleidoscope Gala Ball was a night to remember, a celebration of community, creativity and generosity for Boggabri Sacred Heart School.

At the time of print the final figure was not complete, however the committee was very happy with the preliminary result and are looking forward to the next stage of the planning of the playground.
