Narrabri Shire Council has welcomed new members to its floodplain risk management committee.
Ian Bailey was appointed to join the committee at the August meeting.
A further two members have been successful in joining after being endorsed at the September meeting.
Tony Meppem and Martin Haire are the latest appointees.
They join Jonathan Phelps as community member delegates.
Cr Brett Dickinson chairs the committee which also features council representatives including Cr Brett Nolan, Cr Amanda Brown and Cr Ethan Towns.
Tony Battam is the SES delegate on the committee.
Floodplain Risk Management Committees are established in accordance with the New South Wales government’s Flood Prone Land Policy and the Flood Risk Management Manual (2023).
