Cr Kate McGrath will continue to hold her position as Gunnedah Shire Council’s deputy mayor for another year.

Councillors voted at last week’s ordinary meeting for their preferred deputy, with the majority going to Cr McGrath.

Council needed to fill the position by Thursday, October 16, as the deputy’s term is one year.

Also nominated was Cr Cameron Moore.
