Community radio station 2MaxFM has been acknowledged in state parliament for its recent 25th anniversary.

Member for Barwon Roy Butler paid tribute to the radio station with a community recognition statement.

“Operated by dedicated volunteers, the station reflects the spirit of community service and has connected, informed, and entertained the people of Narrabri and surrounds for a quarter of a century,” Mr Butler said. “2Max FM has provided opportunities for local musicians and presenters, shared stories unique to our region, and built a sense of belonging that strengthens the fabric of our community.

“I congratulate everyone involved—past and present—in making 2MaxFM such a vital and enduring part of our region. On behalf of the community, I thank them for 25 years of service and look forward to seeing the station continue to grow and thrive into the future.”
