Eulah Creek Recreation Reserve Land is among 56 not-for-profit organisations from across rural, regional and remote Australia receiving funding thanks to the Nutrien Ag Solutions Community Grants Program.

Now in its fifth year, the program offers grants of up to $5000 to support projects that strengthen the success, vibrancy and wellbeing of agricultural communities.

Nutrien Ag Solutions Narrabri branch manager Geoffrey Brown declared that Eulah Creek Recreation Reserve Land was a very worthy recipient of the funding.

“Our team love being part of the Narrabri community and we are very proud to support a wide range of projects that meet community needs and enhance our town,” Mr Brown said.

“Eulah Creek Recreation Reserve Land will receive $5000 to Watts Up, Eulah Creek? – The Solar Initiative, which will create a self-sufficient, sustainable future for the local hall by installing solar panels to reduce energy costs and emissions.”

Madeleine Muirhead, Corporate Affairs advisor at Nutrien Ag Solutions, said the program reflects Nutrien’s long-standing commitment to back the people and projects that contribute to the success and wellbeing of rural and regional Australia.

“Our support for country Australia extends beyond the farm, to the communities that support agriculture,” Ms Muirhead explained.

“Most of our staff live and work in these regions, so we understand the value and importance of empowering local people to build a safe, successful and sustainable future for their communities Our Community Grants Program supports the grassroots organisations that make a meaningful difference every day,” she said.

The Nutrien Ag Solutions Community Grants Program provides funding to local organisations tackling priority projects in their communities, facilitated by the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal (FRRR).

“Thanks to our partnership with FRRR, we’re able to help not-for-profit organisations do more of what they do best,” Ms Muirhead said.

“These groups are the heartbeat of their communities, but raising funds for local projects is becoming increasingly difficult. We’re proud to stand with them, now and into the future.”

Since launching in 2021, the Nutrien Ag Solutions Community Grants Program has awarded more than $1.25 million in grants to over 250 not for profit organisations.
