Narrabri TAFE’s visual arts class recently celebrated the opening of its anticipated group exhibition at the Narrabri Art and Craft Society.

The event, held on Friday, November 7, showcased diverse works from 10 talented students, with pieces spanning a wide variety of subject matter, mediums and genres.

The exhibition was a vibrant display of creativity, featuring everything from abstract compositions to finely detailed streetscapes and expressive portraits.

Each student brought their unique perspective to their work, demonstrating the range of artistic skills cultivated at TAFE.

A particularly poignant moment of the exhibition came with the inclusion of works by Heather Cunningham, a tribute to their late classmate.

The exhibition served as a fitting homage to Heather’s contribution to the class and her spirit was felt throughout the evening.

The exhibition was officially introduced by Janice Smith from the Narrabri Art and Craft Society, who provided a warm welcome for the night’s proceedings.

TAFE visual arts teacher Elizabeth Von-Gavel, spoke on the growth and achievements of the students before the exhibition was officially opened by student Adelaide Cobb-Johnson.

The exhibition is open to the public and provides an excellent opportunity to witness the incredible artistic and creative talent emerging from the Narrabri TAFE visual arts program.
