Rotaract Narrabri will be holding a mentorship community event called ‘Walk for Cancer’ in partnership with Can Assist Narrabri this Sunday, November 30.
All money raised will go towards Can Assist Narrabri to support families and community members dealing with cancer.
Participants are asked to meet at the Narrabri High School Oval for the community event.
Narrabri High School teacher and Rotaract member Samantha Coppin is looking forward to seeing the community all come together for a great cause.
“The Rotaract Walk for Cancer will be held on Sunday, November 30 at the Narrabri High School oval from 7am to 7pm,” Samantha said.
“There will be activities ranging from meditation, yoga, live music and novelty events, as well as community forums and a sausage sizzle lunch.
“We will also have a colour run beginning at 6pm.
“If you would like to participate in the colour run, you can register as teams or individuals.
“The event is fully organised by the Narrabri High School students involved in the Rotaract mentorship program.
“This program teaches kids how to be involved and give back to their community.
“Two of the Year 12 students will be presented with an award at this event.
There will also be a raffle over this next coming week with a variety of great prizes, organised by the program.
“We have all been working hard on the event and can’t wait to see it come to life.”
