Narrabri Rotary Club was delighted to receive the donation of a trailer from proprietor of Kaputar Ford, Ken Flower.

The kind donation means the storage of items needed for running of the Narrabri Rotary Markets, advertised in The Courier each month, no longer has to be housed in a Rotarian’s garage or shed, and will make for easy transportation each month when setting up the markets along the creek banks behind the Leitch Oval.

With an additional donation of a canopy for the trailer by Rotarian Jocellin Jansson, the trailer is completely weatherproof, packed and ready for use.

Narrabri Rotary Club president Chris Cole expressed his appreciation on Thursday, December 4.

“Ken Flower has today officially ‘handed over the keys’ for the Rotary Club’s new trailer, and we are extremely grateful for this very generous gesture. The Narrabri Rotary Markets have been going from strength to strength in recent months.

“The new trailer is greatly appreciated by club members for all the items we need to store away and transport each month, tables, chairs, A-signs, bins and various equipment,” he said.

“We have just held a successful market day on Saturday, December 6, with the trailer put to its first use.

“There is a second Christmas markets to be held on December 20 and following the holiday break we will be back again in full swing in February 2026.”
