The ladies of Wee Waa and surrounds enjoyed a beautiful night on Saturday, December 13 as they drove down Pilliga Road for an evening of Christmas Carols and dessert at ‘Bulgarra’.
Glass of punch in hand, we wandered around the beautiful gardens before making our way inside for the carols which were enjoyed by all.
Heather May gave a short talk in which she reminded us of the reason we celebrate Christmas – that Jesus came to “seek and to save the lost” (Luke 19:10).
She said “no one likes to talk about death because it ruins our dessert” and then went on to remind us of the inevitability of death and that there is only one door that leads to Heaven; through Jesus.
We then enjoyed a lovely selection of dessert as we sat on the fairy-lit porch and listened to the falling rain.
What an enchanting night filled with joy, love and the true hope of Christmas.
