Australian singer-songwriter Ben Lee will bring his 2026 regional tour to Gunnedah for the very first time, performing live at The Civic in what promises to be a memorable night of music.

Best known for early 2000s hits including Catch My Disease and We’re All In This Together, Lee became one of Australia’s most recognisable indie-pop voices during a golden era of homegrown music. His breakthrough album Awake Is The New Sleep won multiple ARIA Awards and remains a defining soundtrack for many Australian music lovers.

Now, following the success of his 20th anniversary tour celebrating that iconic album, Lee is heading back on the road, this time simply for the love of live performance. The 2026 tour will see him visit 50 regional centres across the country, including his debut appearance in Gunnedah.

“Being out on the road just for the sake of it is what it’s all about,” Ben said. “Anniversaries are nice, but the road is where it happens. Night after night, sweaty, a little chaotic, unpredictable. Hand to hand combat,” he winks.

Supporting the evening is Sydney-raised singer-songwriter Mark Crotti. Beginning his career busking on the streets of Sydney, Crotti has since toured extensively along Australia’s east coast and supported artists including Mark Wilkinson, Ash Grunwald and Bobby Alu. His performances combine honest songwriting humour that has become an integral part of the experience.

Gunnedah Conservatorium director Rebecca Ryan said the team is thrilled to welcome Ben Lee and Mark Crotti to the region. “It’s incredibly exciting to host an artist of Ben Lee’s calibre, particularly for his first performance in Gunnedah. We’re proud to continue bringing nationally recognised artists to our community.”

Ben Lee will perform at The Civic on Thursday, March 26 from 6.30pm. Tickets cost $55 (Discover NSW vouchers are accepted) and can be purchased online through the Gunnedah Conservatorium website or 6742 3998.
