International Women’s Day was celebrated with an inspiring event focused on connection, creativity and conversation at The Crossing Theatre last Friday evening.
Hosted by Narrabri Shire Council and emceed by general manager Eloise Chaplain, the event brought together local women to reflect on this year’s theme, “Give to Gain”.
Participants were encouraged to share their experiences, ideas and creativity while building meaningful connections within the community.
Guests heard from a panel of inspirational local speakers including Jenny Campbell, Dr Rebecca Shephard, Trudy Staines and Dr Karen Kirkby, who spoke about their diverse careers and the role women play in shaping the region through science, education, business and community leadership.
Each speaker shared personal insights and reflections on leadership, resilience and giving back to the community, offering attendees both inspiration and practical perspectives on building opportunity in regional areas.
