The Wilga Hotel Razorbacks’ opening batsman Matt Bradshaw finished off the 2025/26 season the same way he started it back in October on Saturday when he produced another match-winning performance.

Bradshaw kicked off the campaign with a bang, scoring an unbeaten 49 runs in his side’s first T20 match and then registering 72 runs in the first 40-over match a week later. He has been his club’s top run-scorer since.

His score in Saturday’s grand final may not have eclipsed his round one effort, but it was certainly far more important as he registered 57 runs from 83 balls to guide Wilga Hotel to a six-wicket premiership victory over Tatts at Collins Park.

Bradshaw skippered the club last season and has gone to another level in this one after handing the reins of the captaincy over to Jack Tate.

So while his performance in the big dance came as no real surprise to his captain, it still managed to leave him in awe.

“He was awesome. It was 100 per cent the best I’ve ever seen him bat,” Tate said.

“In all honesty, it’s one of the best innings I’ve seen in the flesh, given the circumstances of the game as we were chasing a total on a ground that was difficult to score on and a pitch that wasn’t an absolute road.

“It was a really good innings and I was rapt for him in the end.

“He’s had a really good year with the bat and it was a great way to cap it off.”

Bradshaw was named the player of the final during the NDCA’s awards presentation on Saturday evening and was also named the representative player of the season.
