Mark Strahle has been declared as a new councillor for Narrabri Shire Council following a countback election conducted by the NSW Electoral Commission on Tuesday.
Counting was conducted from 10am on Tuesday, with the result published early in the afternoon.
Mr Strahle’s election to council follows the resignation of former councillor Amanda Brown in late February.
Previous unsuccessful candidates from the 2024 local government election were eligible to apply for nomination.
Six nominations were received – from Matt Bullock, Ken Flower, Matt Nott, Cathy Redding, Mark Strahle and Roxanne Whitton.
