ED remains open and available for the community as construction works take place at Narrabri Hospital

Readers might notice construction works taking place at Narrabri Hospital Emergency Department, however, the ED remains open and available for the community as normal.

Hunter New England Local Health District said there are temporary access changes at Narrabri Hospital Emergency Department during construction:

“Patients: Enter via the ambulance bay door and press the intercom. A nurse will provide entry and complete triage.

“Visitors: Carers and parents accompanying children are welcome. Due to space limitations, other visitors are not permitted.

“Support: Clear signage and staff will be available to guide you.

“Thank you for your patience while these upgrades take place. Your safety remains our priority.”

It’s understood the construction includes redeveloping the waiting room to increase capacity from 10 seats to 20 seats.
