I would like to say a sincere thank you to all the volunteers across Wee Waa who give their time every week to support our community.

Many people don’t realise how much work is done behind the scenes to run local events, support community groups, maintain facilities and help people who need a hand.

Our town runs on the goodwill and effort of volunteers, and we are very lucky to have so many people willing to give their time.

However, it is also worth noting that many of our regular volunteers are over 60, with quite a few in their 70s and even 80s.

Their dedication is incredible, but we also need to make sure there are new people stepping in to help so our community groups and events can continue into the future.

If you have even an hour a month to spare, consider helping a local organisation. Small contributions from many people make a big difference, and that’s what keeps small communities like ours strong.
