THE outstanding achievements of Narrabri High School student Max Booby at the 2026 Narrabri Show truly highlight his exceptional skill, dedication and leadership in the equestrian community.
Winning both the Junior Supreme District Rider and the Overall Supreme District Rider titles, along with his victory in the Open Six Bar Jumping event (clearing 125cm), demonstrates his advanced horsemanship and strong partnership with his horse Deve.
The year 9 student’s role as club captain of the Narrabri Pony Club further underscores his qualities of responsibility, teamwork and community engagement.
And Max’s participation in Anzac Day marches reflects his respect and pride in representing his club and the Narrabri community.
It’s exciting that Narrabri High School will be introducing a Stage 5 Animal Studies – Equine elective in 2027.
This new course will support students like Max to deepen their knowledge and pursue careers in equine and animal-related fields.
“My horses take up most of my time outside of school and they mean the world to me,” Max said.
“My success at the Narrabri show means heaps to me, as it highlights the hard work behind the scenes.”
