WEE WAA High School students have been in top form on the netball court.
The WWHS girls’ netball team recently defeated Oxley High School in the Regional Final at the Tamworth Sports Dome to claim the Regional Championship title.
The team came out strong from the opening whistle and maintained their intensity throughout the match, building on their lead to secure a well-deserved victory.
It was a fantastic team effort, with every player making a valuable contribution across the court.
The team has now earned its place in the State-Wide Opens Netball Competition State Finals, which will be held in Wollongong at the end of August.
“Congratulations on an outstanding achievement, and best of luck at the State Finals,” said WWHS.
WWHS also recently welcomed teams from Coonamble, Coonabarabran and Narrabri High Schools for an open girls’ netball gala day.
WWHS was excited to host the Girls 15 Years and Under, Debra Hanson Cup – Pool 2 Gala Day.

Claiming three convincing wins, the WWHS girls secured their place in the regional semi-finals, which will be played in Term 3.
The WWHS team, coached by Kerry Crutcher alongside Lisa Currey, delivered an outstanding performance throughout the day.
WWHS expressed a special thank you to Savannah Hughes for umpiring the competition and others who took on official duties, including Indi Clayton and Lexie Horne.
“It was wonderful to see parents, carers, and community members come along to
support the team throughout the day,” said WWHS.
“Congratulations to WWHS players on their exceptional teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill.”
Results:
Round 1: Wee Waa High vs Narrabri High – Wee Waa won 47–8.
Round 2: Wee Waa High vs Coonamble High – Wee Waa won 59–5.
Round 3: Wee Waa High vs Coonabarabran High – Wee Waa won 43–4.
