Narrabri FC and Elevens face off in mid-week challenge

NARRABRI FC faced a tough mid-week challenge on Tuesday night, 5 August, taking on the Narrabri Elevens at Hogan Oval following a weekend bye.

Despite eventually going down 6-1, Narrabri FC showed plenty of fight and determination throughout the contest, with the result representing the club’s smallest goal difference against the Elevens in recent times.

It was Narrabri FC who made the early scoring start, with Charlie Butler finding the back of the net just six minutes into the match to give his side an early 1-0 advantage.

The Elevens responded strongly, however, scoring six unanswered goals to claim the three points. Rob Delahunt and Rowan Keeler both found the net twice, while Jacob Teer and Ollie Stait each added a goal to complete the scoring.

Butler was a standout performer for Narrabri FC, earning both the Domino’s Narrabri Player of the Match award and the Players’ Player award for his efforts.

Coach Steph Stride was proud of the effort and determination displayed by her team, highlighting the character shown by the players despite the difficult result.
