The wet weather didn’t dampen spirits at the Narrabri Netball Association’s semi-finals played on 22 August, with teams giving it their all to try to secure a spot in this weekend’s grand final to be played on 29 August.

Hutcheon & Pearce Swifts are through to the grand final and will go head-to-head with the Diamonds after beating the Sapphires 12–7 on Saturday in the semis.

The Ag Econ Thunderbirds and Wee Waa Flames’ game was described as being ‘super tight and tense’, with the Thunderbirds narrowly coming away with the win, 19 –18.

Vast Diesel Services Firebirds played the Swifts in a great contest, winning 31–23 and proving why they have been top of the ladder.

The AgnVet Rural/Corteva Vixens players have bowed out but played a gallant 2026 season, with the Diamonds claiming the win in the semis, 15–6.
D&L Tyres and Mavericks secured victory over SierraTek Storm in the semis, 40–16.

The Mavericks will face the Flames in Saturday’s grand final.
The Flames beat Namoi Mii Mii Memorial in the semi-final, 38–30, while the Electric Blues are set to take on the Pink Ponies in the grand final.

Electric Blues players scored an impressive 53 goals to the Namoi Songbirds’ tally of 14 on Saturday in the semis.

The stage is now set for a big weekend of grand final action on Court 3, with Narrabri Netball Association encouraging friends and family to cheer the teams on and finish the season on a high.
