For the first time in the 2019-20 Coates Hire Namoi Super Slog T20 season there is an outright leader at the top of the table.

The Carla Baxter Real Estate men established themselves as the team to beat this season by winning their third match of the campaign on Friday night to remain unbeaten.

Carla Baxter Real Estate handed the Specialised Civil Services team its first loss of the campaign in the sides’ round three clash.

The victorious team batted first and made 7-133.

The chasing side entered the final over nine wickets down and requiring 16 runs for victory.

It then set up a grandstand finish after hitting a four off the first ball of the over.

However, Carla Baxter Real Estate took the final wicket of the game two balls later to secure the victory and move into outright first on the ladder.

Six players from the winning team reached double figures which included Cody Kember (37), Luke Barton (27), Tim Hayne (18), Cooper Brayshaw (13) and Hamish Duncan (11).

Barton backed up his efforts with the bat to take a match-best 5-16 from 2.3 overs with the ball.

Specialised Civil Services’ best with the bat was Nick Smart (34) and with the ball was Jonty Scwhager (3-10 from four overs).
