There are just two more rounds left to play in the 2019-20 Coates Hire Namoi Super Slog T20 competition regular season and all four teams are still in contention for the February 1 grand final.
Round four results saw the winless Rose Pest Control taste victory for the first time as it downed the then-undefeated Carla Baxter Real Estate, while Priag Marketing jumped above Specialised Civil Services on the ladder after winning the battle between those two teams.
The Narrabri District Cricket Association’s premier T20 comp has been entertaining since opening night on Friday, December 13.
This Friday evening in round five, Rose Pest Control will take on Specialised Civil Services while Carla Baxter Real Estate goes head-to-head with Priag Marketing.
For Rose Pest Control a win is an absolute necessity to stay in the hunt for a grand final spot.
If it is defeated by Specialised Civil Services, it will become mathematically impossible for the side which is currently ranked fourth to qualify for the decider.
In the other game Carla Baxter Real Estate can become the first team to secure a grand final spot if it beats Priag Marketing.
The competition will break the following weekend due to Australia Day falling on the Sunday.
Round six of the Super Slog competition will be played on Friday, January 31, just one night before the February 1 grand final.
