The Courier Centenary Ball which was to have been held at The Crossing Theatre on Saturday, June 6, has been postponed.
“Plans were well in hand for the ball but because of the uncertainties brought about by the coronavirus pandemic, and the government ruling on limitations of numbers for indoor events, the decision was made, regretfully, to postpone the event,” said The Courier manager Wanda Dunnet.
The Centenary Ball has now been scheduled to be held at The Crossing Theatre on June 12, 2021.
The Centenary Ball will celebrate 100 years of The Courier as a country newspaper in one family’s ownership, with the theme ‘a family, a country community and a newspaper – a shared journey of 100 years.’
