The semi-finals of the Narrabri Women’s Bowling Club’s 2020 Club Fours competition were played on Saturday morning at Narrabri Sporties.
Denise Wall, Ronnie Dewar, Debbie Gleeson and Lorraine Scott defeated Carol Demamiel, Gloria Campey, Berice Eather and Kay Carolan 24-11.
Pat Sheils, Jan Etheridge, Lyn Tuckey and Beryl Regan had a narrow win over Marie Redman, Lyn Wedesweiler, Val Falkiner and Rhonda Welchman.
The score was 19-all with one end to play. Welchman’s team held two points until Tuckey picked up the jack giving them the shot. Regan then scored another point giving Regan’s team the win 21-19.
The final between Scott’s team and Regan’s team will be played on Saturday, October 31, at 9.30am.
A ladies’ Trophy day was held last Thursday.
The winners were Ronnie Dewar, Berice Eather and Cecile who defeated Pat Sheils, Carol Demamiel and Yvonne Hardman 22-8.
Runners-up were Marie Redman who played swinging lead with Janet Coleman and Val Falkiner who defeated Dawn Armstrong and Helen Woodward 18-8.
Denise Wall, Di Chessels and Kay Carolan defeated Glennis Godden, Sue Solomon and Lyn Tuckey 18-15.
Social bowls will be played on Thursday, October 22.
