The Narrabri District Junior Cricket Association under-15s team will take on Maitland Maroon in the grand final of the 2020 Central North Cricket intertown junior competition on Sunday.
The two sides will meet at Number One Oval in Tamworth.
Both teams finished on top of their respective pools to earn home semi-finals which were scheduled for Sunday, December 6.
Top-ranked Red Pool side Maitland Maroon thrashed second-placed Navy Pool team Upper Hunter by 112 runs in its semi-final.
Maitland batted first and made 6-183 in 45 overs before knocking over the chasing side for just 71 runs in 31.5 overs.
Top-ranked Navy Pool side Narrabri’s path to the final was much simpler. It was scheduled to take on second-placed Red Pool team Inverell at Collins Park but that game was washed out, with Narrabri progressing as the higher-ranked side.
Narrabri has played three games in the 2020 competition and won all three.
Its most recent victory was against Tamworth Blue in Gunnedah on Sunday November 22, where Narrabri scored a nine-wicket win.
